2 Months

As the days pass we fall more and more in love with our little Boo!  (Thanks to Lily this has become your main nickname!)  You continue to be a content baby and we are so thankful for that.  Time is flying by and we are trying to soak up every second!

2months1

At TWO MONTHS you weigh 12 lbs. 2 oz. (at the doctor’s office scale) (75%)/ 12 lbs. 5 oz. (at our home scale) and 23 inches (75%) long.  You wear size one diapers and are in 3 month clothes.  Some sleepers are getting too tight and are going to have to get packed away here soon!  Your light brown hair is a bit ratty in the back.  Auntie said it’s just like Lily’s was!  You also have some on the top that stands straight up, just like your sister’s did!  You have a little red spotted birthmark on the back of your neck.  We didn’t notice it until the doctor pointed it out!

At TWO MONTHS you continue to be a good sleeper.  You normally have a 6-7 hour first stretch and then 3-4 hours following.  There were three nights in a row that I fed you around 9:30, 4:00, and then 7:45.  I would love if you kept this schedule up!  At bedtime you are still sleeping swaddled in the Pack N’ Play in our bedroom.  You have become a pro at getting your hands out of the swaddle.  You’ve worked so hard that the hair on the back of your head is officially rubbed off.  :(  You are getting really good at waking up the second you are laid down.  This is one of the most frustrating things!  I don’t know how you can be so passed out to so awake in a matter of minutes.  You’ve also started having mini freak out sessions before falling asleep.  Thank goodness it lasts only a few minutes!

2months4

At TWO MONTHS you’ve been mainly breastfed, with a handful of bottles.  During the day you eat every 3-4 hours and sometimes 5.  You are a very efficient eater.  I was a bit worried and asked the nurse if she thought you were getting enough, as sometimes it only takes 15 minutes or less for both sides!  When taking a bottle you can easily finish 4 ounces in 10 or so minutes.  You are burping much easier than you used to, yay!  We’ve started calling you “Milky Face” because you normally have milk dripping out of your mouth when you’re finished eating.  Your sister thinks this nickname is so funny!

2months5

At TWO MONTHS you’ve learned many new skills!  My favorite is that you smile all the time, especially after being fed!  You grab at the hanging toys in the bouncy seat, you suck your hands, you’ve started cooing, and you like to kick your legs.  You’ve even figured out how to take your paci out of your mouth!  While nursing you like to hold onto my clothes. It’s so sweet!

2months6

A TWO MONTHS you prefer the bouncy seat over the swing.  You like to be held in the nursing position with a blanket wrapped tightly around you, and you like your paci before you fall asleep.  Bath time continues to go well.  You love just laying there relaxing in the tub!

2months

At TWO MONTHS the one thing you don’t like is riding in the car when awake!  On three occasions I’ve had to pull over when by myself to try to get you settled down.  (I hate not being able to reach you while driving!)  When you are so worked up you will not take your pacifier and continue to scream until we arrive home.  :(

2months3

At TWO MONTHS you started pooping only once a day (around week 6).  This caused you to have a blow out every time you went… You had a HUGE blowout while shopping in Williamsburg with Grandma and Auntie.  We had to change you on the floor at Carters!

More from this month:

While checking out of Sam’s Club I noticed that you smelled.  :)  With a nasty ice storm on the way I figured I’d wait to change you since we were in a hurry to get home.  On the ride home you whimpered just a couple times so I put your paci in.  Little did we know you had had the worst blow out I have ever seen!  When we walked in the door I passed you off to daddy and told him you needed to be changed.  He got you out of the carseat to find this!  Your blow out had soaked all the way up your onesie!

Your first bottle was on March 13th at 5 weeks and you took it like a champ!

The Willms stopped over to see us when they were in town.  Matthew and Kate just celebrated their 2nd birthdays!

Tummy time isn’t your favorite thing to do but you are much better than your sister was.  She starting screaming after about 1 minute and wouldn’t stop!

The Leeper ladies came to see us!  They brought tubs and tubs of girl clothes for you, Lily, McKenna, and Ella!!

We finally were able to take our first walk outside.  McKenna of course wanted to push you!  Mommy had to help a bit because she kept running you into the grass!

You love to sleep with your hand(s) up at your face.

I was able to catch a picture of you sleeping with your paci hooked on your finger.  I guess you were just saving it for later!
