We were in Harlan last weekend for my cousin Jesse's graduation party. The "shindig" was out on the farm with awesome food and a bonfire! Jesse's brother Richard graduated last year so it was fun to see some of the same guests as last year because I was pregnant! Everyone thought McKenna was a keeper! They loved her hair! :)
On Sunday morning we headed to Panama to visit with my Grandma Julie while my dad did some yard work for her. Grandma Julie LOVES babies! She is so good with little ones. (Having 9 kids gave her a lot of practice!) McKenna enjoyed sitting in the grass watching grandpa and daddy work!
We had a little time to spare before having lunch with my mom's side so we decided to take McKenna around the farm. Danielle and I have so many amazing memories from the farm. There are days when I still wish I lived on a farm! :) (Then I remembered I would have to get up at 4 or 5 to do chores before work... no thanks!) My grandparents and uncle don't have as many animals as they used to have, but it was still fun to show McKenna around. We started in the shed with the tractors. The sun was so bright we couldn't get a good picture. I was tempted to get my grandpa to back it out so I could get a good one but Matt didn't think it was necessary- imagine that!
Then to the cows...
To the hen house...
To the baby cows...
A nice juicy kiss to welcome McKenna to the farm...
McKenna also checked out the peacocks and my uncle's dogs. I wish they still had pigs. McKenna would have loved the piglets!!
We ate lunch at my grandparent's before getting on the road to head home. McKenna was one again amazing on the car ride. She slept the ENTIRE way home!! Her mom came in a close 2nd for sleeping the longest at 3 hours and 15 minutes! We LOVE to sleep! :)
Thanks for another great weekend! Looking forward to seeing you again in June!!
