The Big Garage Sale

Last weekend our neighborhood hosted the annual garage sale! My mom participated in it many years. I remember numerous times when I would be so mad at my mom for selling my toys/clothes! It was funny how I probably hadn't played with it for months but on garage sale day it quickly became my favorite toy again! :)

Danielle, our friend Jamie, and I got ready for the garage sale last Wednesday night. We all gave each other a hard time for deciding to get rid of our stuff. "Why are you getting rid of that?" "What is wrong with that?" were the questions of the night! We also found ourselves keeping each others goods!

I guess I forgot to mention that my husband happened to be out of town at his man's weekend fishing trip!! Matt and Danielle also had to leave around lunch time to head to an out of town wedding. This left my mom and I with Ella and McKenna and the garage sale to tend to!

We sat McKenna in the middle of the clothes table. Somehow she got a $4 sticker stuck to her. I'd have to say she is worth WAYYYYY more that that! :)

Ella was getting pretty bored as she waited for her playdate at the park with friends so I had her call out, "Water and pop for sale!" Well, she probably ended up yelling this a million times! She even decided to get on the coolers so everyone could hear her better!

As it ended up we each made a little over $100 each. This is actually pretty pathetic for all the work we put into it!! Last year I made $275, which was well worth my time. I now have a garage full of junk waiting to go to Good Will. Now I have to find the time to bag it, mark it down, and get it over there! Good thing summer is right around the corner!!
