6 months old!!

Well another month has come and gone- just like that! Our sweet baby girl turned 6 months old last Tuesday! We took her monthly pictures after her bath. Her hair was very fluffy! I started with no bow, then a headband, and then a small bow. I'm not sure which way was better! I'm thinking we may need some hair spray! :) Unfortunately the white headband had to be retired after the photo shoot because it leaves marks on her head now! I'm sad to put it in the tub, as McKenna has worn it a lot because it is the perfect size bow!







Taylor (Longnecker) Hashman came over Sunday afternoon to take McKenna's six month pictures. Taylor was very patient with McKenna as she decided to keep her smiles to herself... :/ We are working on going through the proofs right now. It's so hard to choose!

McKenna's six month appointment was this afternoon. Good news!! She is back on her growth curve!!!! She now weighs 16 lbs. and 11 oz. (50-75%), is 26.5 inches long (75%), and her head is 43 cm (50-75%)! I wasn't all that worried going into this appointment because you can tell looking at her that she has gained weight! :)

Fun new things:
*Eating food!!- cereal, peas, and green beans
*Rolling over from her back to her stomach and then back to her back
*Sitting up all by herself
*Screaming in a VERY high pitch when she is excited
*Swinging
*Walks in the stroller
*Sleeping on her tummy with her buns high in the air (so cute!)
*Splashing in the bathtub
*Waving
*Doing crunches (she loves to try and sit up when she is laying on her back on the floor!)

The past 6 months have been amazing. I didn't know I could have this much love for my daughter. She's brought Matt and me so much joy! We look forward to the many months ahead on this journey of parenthood. Thanks McKenna for just being you. We love you more than you will ever know! :)
