Picnic in the Park

At the end of the school year some of my teacher friends and I decided it would be fun to have a picnic in the park with our kids in the summer.  Our plan was to meet every other week!

We met the first Thursday of summer vacation at Seerley Park.  There was a great turn out!  The weather had been pretty cool all week, but by Thursday the sun had finally decided to come out in full force!  

The kids played for awhile while the moms TRIED to chat.  We would just get started in a conversation before someone would have to run after their child!  After playing for a bit we had a picnic.  This was rather challenging, but for the most part they ate pretty well. 

After lunch the kids played some more and the moms chatted some more.  At about 1:00 we headed home for a nap.  McKenna was sweaty and worn out!

The weather has not been nice to our Picnic in the Park club!  The next week it was SUPER hot, so we postponed it for a week.  That time it rained off and on, so it was only McKenna, Ella, and Jani at the park!  The next week it was also wayyyyy too hot to be at the park and last week it rained again!  Bummer!
