Obsessions

It looks like Matt’s obsession with chapstick is getting passed onto his daughter!

One morning McKenna pointed at Matt’s chapstick (sitting on his nightstand) and said, “Right here, right here!”  She was then pointing to her lips!!  We both looked at each other and died laughing!!

Now anytime she sees chapstick she will either go and get it herself, or request for one of us to get it for her.  We put it on her first, then she says, “Daddy’s turn!”, and then she says, “Mommy’s turn!” 

She now knows how to get the cap off herself.  This is how I found her one day with Georgie!

I guess Georgie had a dry nose and dry eyes that day!

And it looks like Auntie’s obsession with shoes is rubbing off on her niece!!  McKenna is really into putting shoes on right now- whether they are hers or someone else’s.  At one of Danielle’s baby showers, she tried putting on both hot pink high heels of one of the guests! 

McKenna also likes to bring us our shoes, requesting to have us put them on.  One day she brought me Matt’s big, yellow Homer Simpson slippers and wanted me to put them on.  She was NOT happy when mommy tried to explain to her that she could not wear daddy’s slippers to the store!!
