April 10th:
We took the girls to Portrait Innovations to get pictures together in their Easter dresses! We scheduled the last possible time on Sunday night which ended up working out perfect because no one else was there! We all were surprised at how well they did. You never know what you are going to get with an almost 5 year old, 18 month old, and 1 month old! McKenna liked to run as fast as she could out of the studio to the table with toys, and then back again. Ella also liked running around the studio! Both girls took their turn stepping on the backdrop to the point where I think we made the lady nervous it might rip! :) Overall, they did great and we were happy to get a few good shots!

April 16th:
Easter egg dying was a bit different this year! I'm not sure how many eggs ended up with cracks in them! (Ella being the main source of "crackedge"!) McKenna's 18 month old attention span didn't last all that long. Her favorite part was dropping the egg in the "tolors".
Grandma Lile got to join in on the fun this year!
Grandma Tappy found a new idea for this year- using electrical tape to make designs- stripes, dots, etc. It worked really well!
April 22nd:
Our visit to the Easter Bunny at the mall went a bit better than Santa Claus, but Kenna was still very scared of him! As we waited for our turn McKenna watched the kids in front of us sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. She seemed to like him! I of course was keeping my fingers crossed that she would continue to like him when it came her turn! As Matt started walking her up to him, she quickly started holding onto him for dear life. She kept saying, "No, no, no, no!" She teared up a bit, but did not scream bloody murder like she did with Santa. I was quite happy to have a picture of her looking at the camera, even if it meant daddy got to be in the picture too!
April 23rd:
My mom invited Kenna to the St. John's Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning. Grandma Tappy enjoyed taking McKenna around to the different craft stations before the egg hunt!

Pin the tail on the clouds?!
Cookie break before the big hunt!
It was a pretty cool morning with rain in the forcast so the egg hunt was moved inside. A big bummer considering the weather during the week had been beautiful!
We weren't quite sure how McKenna would do since this was her first egg hunt with many other kids! She quickly caught on and ran to find her 19 eggs. (Around 1500 eggs were hidden!)
She was a double-fisting egg hunter!
And again! :)
And then the discovery that there is something in the eggs!
Mommy and Kenna with friends Kelly and Charly

After a really fun morning it was time to head home!
The finished products!
