Valentine's Day was a busy day! Any teacher out there would agree with me that holiday parties in elementary can give you a headache! :) Our party actually went really well this year- yeah!
After school I picked up some heart shaped pizzas from Papa Murphys for supper. Then I rushed home to get McKenna so we could pick up the house quick before the Garvins, my parents, and Robby arrived! My parents were in town with their dog JayCee, as she was having a Valentine date with Chief, the Hoffert's yellow lab! :)
I also wanted to get a couple pictures of McKenna with her Valentine gifts before everyone got here. She wasn't into pictures... she just wanted mommy to "opey, opey, opey" (aka open) her "ABC, ABC, ABC" (aka ABC refrigerator magnets)!
One year ago = cooperative baby! :)
We finished taking pictures (or should I say mommy gave up!) as Ella barged through the door yelling, "KENNAAAAAAAAAAAA"! McKenna ran as fast as she could to the steps yelling, "ELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA". This event happens every time they come to our house or we go to their house. It's actually pretty cute!
Grandma Tappy and Grandpa Dan gave the girls their Vday presents. They both got new jammies and puzzles! Kenna also got a Magna Doodle. That used to be one of my favorite toys!
Kenna sat and "tolored"...
while Ella and her daddy set one of her new puzzles
Before Ella and McKenna exchanged presents we tired for another pic of the two!
Uncle Robby came over to watch the Bachelor with us! He even brought a cute stuffed puppy dog for his little valentine!
Kenna played us some tunes on her piano while we tried to watch Brad, the most awkward Bachelor, follow his heart. LOL!
Danielle, in her pregnancy state of mind, forgot to make the boys' birthday cake! She quickly ran home to make it. When she flipped it over it fell apart! The good news is it still tasted good! :) (Did I mention she forgot the strawberries too?! We love you Darnelle!)
We always make the boys take a picture with their birthday cake. One of them usually looks dorky in the picture- not sure if it is on purpose or not!
After the Bachelor we cleaned up the house and mommy went to bed knowing it was going to be a long week with conferences!
Happy Heart Day!
