The monthly posts turn into REALLY long posts when I get behind!!
McKenna is already 16 months. Crazy to think that she is almost a year and a half!
Getting decent monthly pictures continues to get harder by the month. I'm pretty sure Matt told me he's going to kill the person that created the stickers! :)
As you can see McKenna wants the sticker off her shirt. As soon as it came off, mommy put it right back on!
I decided to give her her pacifier so she would have something to hold onto. The sticker stayed on, but then of course we had to deal with paci wanting to be in her mouth!
New things this month:
*going from hating baths to loving baths (bad diaper rash caused her to start not liking her bath)
*began saying the phrases: "where are you?" and "I see you" (she now adds a name with it) and "have a good day!" (this is a little mumbled!)
*three teeth- upper molars and last bottom incisor
*enjoyed two snow days with mommy at home!
*went sledding and played in the snow a few times
*likes to pray- she will remind us at every meal!

Ella and McKenna continue to love playing together. At the beginning of February I had two snow days in a row. Ella came over to play the first day. They made a fort (McKenna's first one!) in her bedroom. They both had crazy static hair!*going from hating baths to loving baths (bad diaper rash caused her to start not liking her bath)

Ella thought it would be fun to put McKenna in the laundry basket!
We spent the second day at the Garvins, helping them make Grandma Lile's sugar cookies.
Auntie let McKenna have a little taste of the dough- something Grandma always lets us do!
Then it was time to decorate. Danielle and I frosted while Ella and McKenna decorated. What a team they were.
McKenna took a bite out of one of the cookies- surprising as she isn't much of a sweets girl. I think this big smile tells us she likes it!
She found out that the ones with frosting are even better!!
Taking her job as the sprinkler very serious... lol
We had a special plate of the ones the girls decorated. (Aka- the cookies that have been coughed on, licked, touched, and slobbered on!) We thought Daddy Garvin would be interested in that plate!
Ella with her Valentine creation. Hope you like sprinkles!
McKenna has become quite the little mommy. She loves playing with her babies and stuffed animals. One day she went and grabbed all the supplies to change Georgie's diaper. Matt and I about died! She now loves to change all of them!
To change Georgie she wipes under his shirt. It is so funny!
She was getting frustrated that Georgie wouldn't keep his legs up so daddy became the assistant!
Now that the snow is gone we brought the sled back into the house. McKenna loves "wheee" rides all over the house. She likes to give her friends a ride too. She especially loves to get rides with ALL of her friends!
One of McKenna's first words was "mo" (aka more). She would always pucker up her lips when saying it! We all loved when she would do it! She stopped doing this many months ago but has recently brought it back!! For those of you who have been around her when she does it you'll agree with me in saying that it always makes you laugh!
Every morning when McKenna wakes up we change her diaper and then bring her into our room to snuggle for a little bit before we all get up. She likes to watch a little bit of t.v. while snuggling! :) Curious George and Mickey Mouse are her favorites. Due to a change in schedule Mickey Mouse comes on at a different time now- it is now Jake and the Pirates. We can usually catch the tail end of Curious George but she doesn't understand why "Mitzey" doesn't come on after George anymore!
McKenna is now into GOLF! She was given this cute little golf set at her first shower after she was born from the Brendens. Ella pulled it out of the closet one night and ever since McKenna has been obsessed! Daddy recently taught her the correct way to hold the club and she actually remembers how to do it!
McKenna, you continue to amaze us each day. Thank you for being the sweet little girl that you are! Mommy and Daddy love you sooo much!
