Saylorville Lake

Yesterday we went to Saylorville Lake with my dad's family. Uncle John and Aunt Kathy live 5 minutes from the lake! We all spent the day on their house boat. They even have a huge trampoline connected to their boat! My favorite part was blowing the horn when you wanted to get a ride back to shore. A pontoon would come and pick whoever up and take you back because you leave your boats tied up! It was an absolutely beautiful hot and sunny day- a perfect day to be on the water!

McKenna took a short 30 minute nap on the bed in the back.

You had to be there for the next couple pictures- my dad, Michael, and Daniel went to take Adam to shore on the Jon Boat. It started fine but quickly died. They got it going again and then had to come back to the boat because they forgot to take the bag of trash with them. My dad pretty much came flying in so he had to kill it so he wouldn't hit the tramp. When he went to start it again it wouldn't start! After trying multiple times with everyone watching and laughing they still couldn't get it going. Cousin Andrew had to swim out and pull them in! They then decide to use the oars instead- with Adam oaring the wrong direction! (They weren't going anywhere!) My dad finally decided to try it again before they made it back to the boat and this time he finally got it running again!!! Just as they were off and running we had to yell at them to not throw the trash- Andrew's friend Cole just realized his retainers got thrown away!! So all of that mess just b/c of the trash and then they didn't even take it to shore!!!!
**We realized after the fact that my uncle was giving my dad the wrong directions- he said to pull left instead of pulling right. So it was Uncle John's fault after all! :)

McKenna fell asleep at 7:15 on the way home, stayed asleep while I fed her when we got home, and continued sleeping until 6:45 this morning! She was wiped out!
