Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas on New Year's Day this year with my side of the family. We headed out to my parent's house before McKenna's afternoon nap. Getting a family picture was first on the to-do list with opening presents close behind! The high chair came in handy again for a place to put the camera so we could use the timer.

I love this picture! (I was working on making sure the camera was positioned correctly!!)

Much better... no smile for McKenna, but it will have to do!

Ella's first gift was a microphone from my parents. This maybe should have been the last gift opened! "Jingle Bells" was the song of the day... she had us all crying laughing at some point!

Ella was kind enough to let McKenna have a try. I think it's because we let her pick her up so she could reach the mic... :)

McKenna's first gift was a Cozy Coupe shopping cart!

McKenna was kind enough to let Ella play with it... :)

"Jingle Bells" once again.... As you can see the crowd is lovin' her!

A little "beat" help from the audience!

Finally time for more presents! McKenna also wanted to be an elf and help my mom deliver presents.

Back to the mic AGAIN!!

My dad was obsessed with saying "testing, testing, 1,2, 3" into the mic. He taught McKenna how to say "testing"!

While the adults opened presents Ella entertained McKenna by pulling her around the house in her new sled!

We gave Ella Barbies, Barbie clothes, and a Barbie car.

Boy was she excited to see that Barbie came with pet dogs!

McKenna thought Barbie's clothes were pretty cool!

McKenna's gift from the Garvin's was saved until last.

Ella thought she should help McKenna reach the wrapping paper on the top of the box!

A dancing Mickey Mouse!!!

Even though McKenna is in love with Mickey she isn't quite sure what to think of him...

Ella and Grandma enjoyed dancing with him!

After presents it was time for our annual picture of the dogs in their Christmas outfits! Ella worked SUPER hard to get each dog ready. They weren't cooperating the way she wanted them to!

We had an extra Santa hat so Miss Ella thought she should join the picture!! This is the 3rd annual picture, the dogs look rather annoyed if you ask me!

JayCee as Mrs. Claus, Nahla as a reindeer, and Lexi as an elf

The hats stay on for a matter of seconds. Here is another attempt at a decent picture of these clowns!

We also give the dogs presents. They normally have them ruined by the time the night is over!

We ended the evening with supper ordered in from Brown Bottle, a game of Kinasta, and a sleepover!

We have a lot of pictures, video, and memories that will help us remember this special day!
Thank you mom and dad for another wonderful Christmas!
