9 Months!

McKenna turned 9 months old on the 20th! I had hoped to finish this post before we left for vacation but it didn't happen... :) We started the morning at her check- up. McKenna is now 20 lbs. 8 oz. (75 %) and 28 1/4 inches long (75%). Her head is 44.5 cm (50-75%). She is in the same percentiles as her 6 month appointment! After her appointment we headed over to JCPennys for pictures. I was hoping this would be a quick in and out but that wasn't the case! The last time we went to JCPennys we were the only ones there and we were in and out! Her pictures were scheduled right at her nap time but I didn't want to have to come back over to Waterloo on another day so I decided we would make it work! She had pictures taken in her "Little Black Dress" and tutu and they turned out pretty good!

Each month it is getting harder and harder to take pictures of her sitting still! I could barely keep her in the chair this month!

Our little 9 month old continues to amaze us everyday. She is very curious and it is so much fun to watch her learn about her surroundings. Below are some pictures of her favorites from this past month!

The remote is one of Ken's favorite toys! We try to put it up and she seems to always find it!

She even points it at the tv... seriously!

These are McKenna's favorite movies. It's crazy because when our t.v. is on she doesn't even notice that it is on but when she hears her movie she stops whatever she is doing to watch it! She will sit and watch the entire thing!

McKenna could sit forever looking at books! She loves to turn the pages on her own and she likes to feel the textures on the pages. Lately I have been giving her a book to look at in the car and she looks at it the entire time!

She loves to pull up on everything but the couch is her favorite. Here she is peeking over the arm rest on the side of the couch. Below is a side view from the picture above.

Notice the newspapers in the back that she spread all over the floor!

McKenna likes to dance! When she hears music, even cell phone rings, she waves her arms up and down! This is a short video of her singing and dancing! (My camera died!)

She loves to shake her maracas and she also likes to hand you her toys. What a little sharer! :)

She loves to crawl through her toy from Gma Jeanie!

This may be everyone's favorite new "trick" that McKenna does- she scrunches up her nose and breathes in and out really fast. Uncle Robby and daddy think she is so funny! She sure puts on a show for you when you laugh at her! :)


This video isn't the best because she was crawling on me, but at least you can see her doing her nose thing!

While crawling McKenna will take a break and lean on her side so she can look back at you. This isn't a new thing but I finally got a picture of it to show it!

Kenna loves to play the xylophone! I found it at a garage sale and she absolutely loves it!

Climbing over Lexi is yet another one of McKenna's favorites! Lexi doesn't mind at all although she won't let her by without giving her a big juicy kiss first!

And she is over!

Smiling and just being happy is by far her favorite thing to do! :)
