Cousins

In my eyes these three girls are more like sisters than they are cousins and I’m incredibly thankful for that.  Danielle and I have always said that if we were unable to give our girls sisters, that at least they would have each other!

The girls spend a lot of time together.  We see each other nearly everyday.  If we don’t see each other, we at least talk on the phone (and sometime Skype!)!  The girls go to the same daycare and we normally eat together 4 out of 5 nights!  It helps that we live 4 houses away from each other!

We’ve found that three can be a crowd at times, as someone normally gets left out.  It’s a good thing we’ve added two more to the mix! :)  There are times when they get along and there are times when they just plain can’t be in the same room.  It always seems to amaze us at how you can want something soooo bad even if you weren’t playing with it!!

Even though they fight, deep down these girls love each other and would do anything to protect the other.  It is exciting to think about the future watching these girls go through their school years, marriage, and parenthood together!!

Some random pictures of the girls:

Taking pictures is a favorite at our house.  I think they are taking after their moms already!

They love to dress each other up.  This usually ends with a hair accessory tornado hitting Kenna’s bedroom floor. :)

Sharing toys!!

Kenna playing with the beloved Belle.  This bunny is actually Danielle’s from her first Easter.  It quickly became the most wanted toy during Easter this year!

Computers= a battle of who gets a turn first!  (Noticed Belle next to Kenna!)

Giving Ella’s new big wheel a test drive.  This girl would not get off it all morning!  Little did she know that the Easter Bunny had brought her one too!

I can’t believe I have ZERO pictures of them dancing during Dancing with the Stars.  Each Monday and sometimes Tuesday, our little munchkins would put on their dresses so that they could get ready to dance.  All week long they would ask if it was on.  Then the night would finally arrive.  Ella would put on one of my dresses and Lily would wear one of Kenna’s.  They would dance together and they would request that their daddies dance with them.  I’m not sure the mommies were ever asked to join!

The anticipation of becoming big sisters is finally over!  I absolutely LOVE these pictures of our girls!!

The first park trip of the season!  Lily peer pressured Kenna into going down the slide on her tummy!  Okay, maybe not… but Kenna did decide she would try it too!

Lily absolutely loves Kamryn.  She is either kissing her or hugging her WAY too tight! :)  We can thank Lils for her nickname “Kamryn Boo”!

Kenna loves our little Jetty Bear!  She too likes to give kisses!

Ella is our big helper.  Her favorite thing to do is walk around with the babies.  One day she was walking around with Kamryn.  It then dawned on me that she had gotten Kamryn out of her car seat on her own!

With the cool weather in May we were able to get a few more pictures in their warm jammies with the little brother!!

I took nearly 100 pictures (not kidding) of these crazy kiddos!  Danielle and I wanted a good one so bad!!  In nearly every picture one of them was goofing off so we just kept snapping!  Matt and Matt were out in the living room rather annoyed with us!

For a good laugh…

And then it was our Little Sister and Little Brother’s turn!  Kamryn's faces were just hilarious.  Jett just slept peacefully.  What a good little boy!  The next photo shoot with these two will be a lot different!

Movie night #74 and bath #267.  Living so close allows us to have many movie nights together as well as baths!!  Bath nights normally end in borrowing each other’s clothes.  The best is when Ella has to borrow from me!

Danielle and I love buying outfits for each other’s kids.  We couldn’t resist this adorable Under Armour outfit for Lily too!

The other day we traded kids!  Danielle kept Kenna and I took Lily home with me.  I was trying to get supper ready while still keeping an eye on these two… not an easy task!  I could hear Lily talking to Kamryn.  She was asking her who she wanted to talk to.  I came around the corner to find her holding up the toy phone to Kamryn’s ear!  Later I heard her reading to Kamryn.  I found her helping her feel the books- with her toes!!  It was seriously the cutest thing!

Being able to raise our children 4 houses away from each other is something I would have never dreamed would happen.  At times it feels like we’re raising 5 kids and 2 dogs (2 husbands too!), but we wouldn’t want it any other way.  We love you Ella, Lily, Jett, and Nahla to the moon and back!
