Trick-or-Treating

Trick-or-Treating was so much fun this year! We were lucky that the weather wasn't too cold yet!

We started the evening at the Habinck's (our neighbors and also Kenna's daycare) for pizza. McKenna wasn't a fan of the "scary" costumes. She didn't like that the kids had paint on their faces!

The Princess and The Pumpkin

All ready to trick-or-treat!

We all started out together heading around the block. Our first stop was the Hansen's, our backdoor neighbors. It didn't take long before McKenna was left in the dust! At one point I was yelling at Danielle down the street to slow down and then little missy starting yelling "Nan nell! Nan nell!" It was so funny and caught us both off guard!

At the beginning McKenna didn't quite understand what trick-or-treating was all about! We had her hold onto her sack when we took her up to each house. When we put her back into the stroller she kept looking in her sack to see all the candy! By the end of the night she had the hang of it. She would either hold her bag out and say, "Candy" or she would pick a piece and put it in the sack all by herself!

We ended up breaking away from the group after we rounded the block to head home and pass out candy (and warm up!). McKenna loved sitting in the foyer watching the kids come to the door. She even got to drop the candy in the bag to the kids we knew!

Happy Halloween!
Last year's picture looked a little bit different!

Well this is about the best picture I could get with her pumpkins. She kept taking the stickers off her kitty pumpkin!! Ugh! :)

"Look mom, I took the ear off the kitty again!"

When the "rush" of trick-or-treaters slowed down we headed upstairs to play. McKenna threw every piece of candy out of her bag as if she was looking for her favorite kind!

She shared with Robby- mommy had to steal what she wanted!

Then she decided to put all her candy in the trunk of her car. I think she was trying to hide it from her mom... sorry Ken!

"Woah, a Baby Ruth. I sure wish I could eat this thing!!"

Happy Halloween from our little pumpkin!
