We celebrated Christmas with my family on the 26th. We (Danielle and I) decided to start a new tradition this year- wear Christmas jammies! We were able to find some on sale at Old Navy a couple weeks before Christmas. The boys weren’t too excited about this new tradition but did it for their girls! :)
“The Hat” is a favorite at Christmas time. It sings Jingle Bells while shaking back and forth. The girls love to dance while it sings its little tune. Grandma taught them a little cheer at the end of the song!
After playing for awhile we opened presents! We let the little girls go first. The living room quickly filled up with presents!
Kenna was so funny. She kept hugging her presents as if to say, “I love it!”
Lily Bean needed a little assistance opening this year. Her new playground was a hit!
Miss Ella was a present opening pro! She was also my picture taking pro!
Now that we are older we pick out and usually buy the gifts our parents are going to give us at Christmas/Birthdays. My parents would rather have us get something we want and like! This also allows them to shop just for the girls and not have to worry about everyone else! Each year they try to surprise us with at least one gift. This year it was a coupon for 6 months for a cleaning lady! What an AMAZING gift!
After presents we had lunch and then put the girls down for a nap. This was Kenna’s first time in a big girl bed and she did great!
It was time to play with all of their new toys when they got up. Uncle Matt and Ella even went out to play in the sand. 40+ degree weather at the end of December is incredible!
Hanging out with cousins is the best! They took a little break to make nests so they could watch Frosty the Snowman.
Ella’s new microphone entertained us all. Kenna’s version of “Baby O” deserved a 10 for sure!
The good ol’ timer helped us get a group picture. Pretty good considering everyone was done having their picture taken by now!
We ordered in Brown Bottle for supper and it was delicious! As I was getting my plate ready I realized we hadn’t taken our annual dog Christmas pictures yet! I knew no one would be too excited in helping me so I decided to take on the task on my own. Trying to get all three dogs in their costumes, getting them to sit and not “paw off” their costumes, as well as look at the camera seemed impossible with one person. I got smart and took individual shots and then put them into a collage!
I had to post the next two pictures. I couldn’t believe that JayCee had closed her eyes in one of the pictures. After thumbing through I found that Lexi had too! I guess I didn’t think about having to worry about having their eyes closed in the picture!
Merry Christmas from three almost four year old mutts!
This was our last Christmas celebration and I’m sad that Christmas has once again come and gone, just like that!
Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful day and for your generosity!
