My summer officially started May 31st this year! Even with multiple snow days, we were still able to sneak out before June! The last kid day, I found out I had strep for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Daddy was also out of town for his Man’s Fishing Trip in MN. I was ready for summer to say the least!!
Kenna and I were able to celebrate the beginning of summer by attending a graduation party for one the kids I used to babysit for while Kamryn played at Gpa and Gma’s! Afterwards, we went to the wedding reception for Scott and Debbie (my HS best friend’s mom). Their reception was out on their acreage. Thankfully the rain and high winds stopped by the time we got there!
McKenna has an absolute blast dancing with the girls. With her being a flower girl here in a couple weeks it was great practice for her to see what the reception is all about! We enjoyed a fun evening catching up with the Majerus clan and then headed back to my parent’s for a sleepover!
On Sunday we met up with the Brendens and Moores at Seerley Park for a picnic playdate. We all were anxiously awaiting for the boys to return home from their fishing trip. It was a perfect afternoon for the park, despite the 5 minute rain shower the second we pulled in!
Kamryn LOVES watermelon. This girl seriously can’t get enough. I didn’t have a bib with me and it didn’t take long for her to become a sticky mess!
Gracie was so sweet and watched over Kamryn for me. She is a little mom and I would love to take her home with me!!
Pretty sure Erica gets the award for being the coolest pregnant lady E.V.E.R! This momma was giving the kids underdogs left and right like it was no big deal!
I can’t believe how big these kiddos are getting!!
Miss Lily had her first sleepover at our house!! Earlier in the evening her and McKenna talked about having a sleepover (this happens on a regular basis). They had decided that they for sure were going to have sleepover that night. Danielle reminded the girls that they have to ask an adult first before planning. Lily ran over to me to ask if she could have a sleepover and before I could answer, she ran back to McKenna and said, “Your mom said I could have a sleepover!!” Danielle and I looked at each other and died laughing. How could I say no now?!!
Kamryn went to bed at normal time and was back up about 15 minutes later. I guess she didn’t want to miss out on the popcorn/movie party with the girls!
McKenna was the first to fall asleep and I was shocked! Lily didn’t end up falling asleep until after 10:30!!!
We had Olivia, McKenna’s best friend from preschool, over for a playdate! She was the most polite little girl ever! During lunch she thanked me for inviting her over, it was so sweet!! These two had a lot of fun playing school and also playing outside in the water together. We hope to have more playdates again soon!
One week of summer is in the books!
