Valentine’s Day

Our Valentine celebration started on Sunday since we were all together for daddy and Uncle Matt’s birthdays!  Grandpa and Grandma bought the girls new swimming suits for our vacation to the Dells over Spring Break!  My mom also thought it would be a great idea to buy them recorders.  After McKenna and Ella played them for 10 minutes straight we decided they were going to be left at their house.  Somehow they still made it back to our house…. :)  The girlies also exchanged gifts with each other.  It was hard to see what anyone got because everyone opened at the same time!

Kenna helped me make Valentine cupcakes and Rice Krispie treats for her friends at daycare.  As she gets older we are able to do more and more together and I love it!

Monday night we had heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s.  Daddy cut it before I remembered to take a picture of it!  Our hearts are really not broken, they just burst because they were so full of love!  Ha!

Daddy knows mommy pretty well and knew a candy bouquet was the perfect gift for her!  While at Target he picked up some flowers (on his list of things to buy!) so that we could share some of them with the people we love!

Kenna went to the Garvin’s afterschool on Valentine’s Day.  We tried taking pictures of the girls with the conversation hearts balloons Shannon gave them.  Ella and Lily win the picture taking awards this time!  Notice the picture of Ella holding her beloved recorder and the picture of Kenna holding the balloon in front of her face so I couldn’t see her!  She was being such a stinker!  She wouldn’t sit in the chair for longer than a second, she had to have her baby in the picture, and she wouldn’t look at the camera!  I had to remind myself that she’s two! :)

When daddy got home from work McKenna got to open her gifts from us.  Trying to get a picture of her sitting next to her presents was nearly impossible!  This girl was not wanting to cooperate for pictures today!

Belle the Barbie, Jessie the Cowgirl, Clifford DVD, and heart Gem Gels!

Olivia came over to watch McKenna so Matt and I could go out for an uninterrupted dinner together.  We are so fortunate to have a babysitter two houses away who is willing to come over and play with McKenna.  We enjoyed a delicious meal at Montage while she had a blast playing with “Yevia”!

McKenna loves taking pictures on our phones.  She wanted to take a picture of mommy and daddy when we got home.  The picture of us is the one she took!  Not bad!

Kenna,

We love you more than words can describe.  You’ve brought so much joy to our lives and we can’t thank you enough for that.  Thanks for your big hugs and your kisses.  You make us smile each day.

We love you so much!
